Cialis belongs to a class of drugs known as phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. These drugs work by inhibiting the action of an enzyme called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), which is responsible for breaking down cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).
